Marilyn left a message on Facebook asking for the complete tarot reading I referred to in the last post about the Superbowl. The following reading was done on Tuesday, 31 January 2012, the day after I did the horary chart for my son. Although the astrological horary chart of 30 January suggested a win for the Giants, I still felt that the Patriots had the upper hand, so I did a three-card spread for each team’s performance in the upcoming Superbowl, with the final card on the right designated as the outcome position. The reading confirmed the result of the horary chart. I used Gainsford’s Tarot of the Old Path and read the 8 of Pentacles as Eli Manning and the Queen of Swords as Tom Brady and their differing styles of play. Here are the cards that came up:
In the first set of cards, the Giants are playing a game. Eli Manning is very carefully working his craft (8 of Pentacles), and the outcome is a win and an emotional triumph (King of Cups).
In the second set of cards, Tom Brady is approaching the game very rationally (Queen of Swords) but he begins giving his wealth away (6 of Pentacles) and the outcome is the Death trump, unlucky XIII.
