In my last post I mentioned Lin-Satanism, a term I coined to refer to Rick Santorum’s thinly disguised belief that the father of lies is taking over the minds of American youth through the antics of the players (whose skin color will not be mentioned) of the National Basketball Association. Lin, of course, refers to Jeremy Lin whose name has dominated the sports news since the beginning of February, 2012.
According to wikipedia, Lin first got noticed on Jan 20, 2012 when, seemingly out of nowhere, he had a triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists in the BayHawks’ 122–113 victory over the Maine Red Claws. He was recalled by the Knicks three days later. This was quite a turnaround because the Knicks were thinking of releasing Lin before his contract became guaranteed on February 10 so they could sign a new player. Then, on February 4, Lin outplayed All Star guard Deron Williams by scoring 25 points, five rebounds, and seven assists — all career-highs— in a 99–92 Knicks victory over the NJ Nets.
Lin’s time of birth is not known, so I did a sunrise chart for his birthplace.
Jupiter is transiting early Taurus in trine to his natal Sun, which certainly improves his luck in early 2012. His current Solar Return has a close Venus/Sun conjunction. Venus is known as the lesser benefic. With Venus conjoining his natal Sun in the return chart and Jupiter, the greater benefic, trining (120 degrees) his Sun in early 2012, success was all but guaranteed.
Lin-Sanity (the current obsession of the sports media with this player) began with his outstanding performance on Feb 4, 2012. It is noteworthy that transiting Neptune entered Pisces the day before Lin’s sudden fame and opposes Lin’s natal Sun. The Lin-Sanity craze appears to correlate with the transiting Neptune in Pisces opposite Lin’s natal Virgo Sun, which seems to have turned Lin into an idealized image of a great athlete, the hero of a romanticized fantasy as suggested by the Piscean symbolism.
Rick Santorum must love Jeremy Lin, a fellow Christian who has not been corrupted by the vain sensuality of his depraved fellow-players. We need more players like Jeremy Lin in the NBA to save America’s youth from the clutches of the demonic one who has thoroughly infiltrated the National Basketball Association. A vote for Santorum is a vote against Satan and his henchmen in the NBA!
